Who you’ll be working with

PVR Consulting is the brainchild of Phil Roberts. A time served engineering professional, I offer a radically different approach to engineering consultancy.

My career began at British Aerospace Commercial Aircraft, completing a 5 year apprenticeship, building the BAe146 airliner, and going on to work on production engineering next generation aircraft structures in metallics and composite materials.

I then worked in precision fabrication and machining companies for the defence and electronics industries. I gained experience in the medical device field helping in projects as diverse as sterilisation for dental power tools and innovative moulded polymer sensors for blood monitoring and anaesthesia applications. As we entered the new millennium, I moved into project engineering for the UK sales division of a large Italian machine tool manufacturer and since then have worked with some of the finest suppliers of manufacturing technology from Europe and the Far East.

The insights and experience I have gained with working in, and sometimes managing, teams of talented engineers from the UK, Italy, France, Germany, Switzerland, and Japan, has given me a breadth of practical engineering applied know-how that your business can benefit from. From supporting SME’s to creating multi-million pound government contract tenders, I am detail focused, meticulous, and always positive!

My approach is holistic - I look at ALL aspects of a business to see where improvements can be made. I am also frank and truthful in my assessments - I won’t give you any bull! I’m glad to say I enjoy a good reputation in the industry for my skills, honesty and passion for success.

Oh, and in case you hadn’t guessed from the photo, I’ve been a passionate motorcyclist since my apprentice days - I’m as likely to attend your company on two wheels as four!
